Bias in Venture Capital
Why have only 1.9% of venture capital dollars been given to women so far in 2022 to help grow their businesses? In 2021, only 2% of the $330 billion dollars of venture capital funding in the US went to women.
There is a severe gender bias in the investing world. Meanwhile, men like Adam Neumann receive second chances, even after sketchy circumstances.
The difference is also visible along other minority groups: "‘Black-founded startups in the U.S. raised less in Q2 2022 in aggregate ($324 million) than Adam Neumann received in a single check from Andreessen Horowitz.’"
